Typical ain't it you wait and campaign for years for a skatepark then TWO come along at once! Skaters in Barrow have long been forced onto the space between Forum 28 and the town hall to try their tricks but now there's a new park in Ormsgill. OK so it's a bit out on the edge of town but it's a start and there are plans for a second one in the town park. Guess the town councillors finally got tired of grinds and ollies under their noses. Anyway the Official opening is on Saturday around 2 o'clock. There'll be a pro-skater travelling up to lead procedings so get out there and give him some support!
